FLAT STANLEY: 10. APOLLO MOON CAPSULE
10. Apollo Moon Capsule. Here I am on a full-sized model of an Apollo Moon Capsule. Three astronauts traveled inside one of these all the way to the Moon in the 1960s and 1970s. A capsule like this was at the very top of the rocket that went to the Moon, and only the capsule came back to Earth. You can see me on the outside of the capsule. NASA will soon be sending more astronauts back to the Moon in capsules like this.
